Romy Park has joined B&B on recurring status as Poppy, Luna’s free spirited mom.

The actress is an Asian/European American. Born in 1979. She had a podcast with the actor who plays EJ DiMera on DAYS a few years ago.

Thanks for this information. I’ve never heard of the actress before. I just hope they don’t bring this character in to be overprotective or obsessed with her daughter being with a Forrester then the storyline becomes so boring that it fizzles quickly; in the same way, Paris’ mother did with her and Zende…

If it was her mother that Luna was talking to on the phone last week then her mother doesn’t want her around the Forrester family at all. Or at least that’s what I got out of that brief conversation.

Yeah, but I don’t trust the way Brad Bell writes. It might go from the mother, not wanting to be near Forresters, to us finding out why she doesn’t want to be around them and from there, we’ll see an overbearing, obsessed mother…

I just hope it’s a completely different story line that’s got a little bit of intrigue to it. All of the stories for new characters seem to fall flat.

Luna’s mom might be Li’s sister, making Luna and Finn cousins.

Li wasn’t thrilled with Finn married into the Forrester family because of Sheila’s obsession with the family. But now it’s about Sheila’s obsession with Finn that bothers her.

Maybe Poppy feels that if Luna gets involved with the Forresters, she will be closer to Finn & Steffy, which means closer to Sheila?

Or maybe Luna’s mom has some old connection to the Forresters?

BTW, where the heck is Paris’ mother? She came into the scene like an overbearing lunatic when she desperately tried to keep Paris and Carter apart. Then that storyline suddenly went nowhere. In fact where the heck is Paris and Zende?

Can;t we just use the actors we already have more than hire others that will soon fade away?
There are MANY reasons why Taylor and Li would be friends. Love to see more Jack and Finn. Ridge and Jack protecting their kids and grand-kid.

If Luna’s mother is, supposedly, more the hippie type who isn’t into being overly ambitious and corporate, maybe that would be another reason she would want her daughter to stay away from the Forresters. I mean, they are a family where their business frequently comes before their relationships with each other—even right now, the whole runway fashion show down is basically a father-son pissing contest. Maybe Luna’s mom just doesn’t think the Forrester status and wealth has made them all that happy and wants more for her daughter—and truthfully, she wouldn’t be all that wrong. The Forresters’ wealth and status have not always made them happy and they are frequently dysfunctional with a capital D.

I’m interested to see where they go with Luna and her mom. The Finnigans were a flop, maybe this family will be more interesting, or if they are related to Finn and Li hopefully they can bring some interest to them.

How are the Finnegans a flop? Finn is one part of the most popular couple on the show, and Li is awesome.

I’d rather say the Buckingham family was a flop. A major flop at that. The Avant family too, except Sasha. And the Spectras 2.0 with Sally jr as the only saving grace.

Same. Katie, Carter, Taylor, Wyatt and Bill all need storylines. Brad Bell needs to stop bringing in characters then dropping them and write for the actors he already employs.

I actually thought Pop Avant was a great actor and I liked Mom Avant. But making Nicole Avant a 19 yo virgin be a surrogate for selfish Maya was disgusting. Zende on the other hand, lie RJ, is a flop.

BTW - whatever happen to Paris and Grace?

I think that’s all due to Steffy in Finn’s case. They just aren’t that interesting to me like the Avants, Marones or OG Spectras were.

I feel like I don’t care about Luna, or her Mom, because if it means more of RJ, and also, there were so many other new people that failed as many of you mentioned in this thread, I am not interested.

I didn’t see who the new actress is yet, going to take a look, sure she is beautiful like Luna. I just find RJ or any scenes he is in, I need to FF. Can’t watch, it is like a punishment. This soap is supposed to be something you want to watch, not the opposite. Too many FF now. Gosh.
