Karan Jahr is a Bollywood actor, costume designer, screenwriter, TV host, producer, and film director who currently heads the Dharma Productions company. His net worth is estimated to be around $200 million. He is also known for directing and producing many of Bollywood's highest-grossing films. He's the son of the late film producer, Yash Johar.
Johar began his career in the entertainment industry as an actor, playing Shrikant in the Doordarshan serial Indradhanush in 1989. He was inspired by commercial Indian cinema as a child. Johar began his career as an assistant director to his cousin Aditya Chopra's Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, which is considered a milestone in Hindi cinema. He then made his directorial debut with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, a romantic comedy-drama. The film was a box office success and received favorable reviews from critics. It was nominated for a National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Diverse Entertainment. Johar received his second Filmfare Award for Best Director in 2010 for the film My Name Is Khan.
