Gillian Jacobs Wiki Biography
Gillian MacLaren Jacobs was born on 19 October 1982, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania USA, and is an actress, best known for being a part of the comedy series “Community” playing the role of Britta Perry. She is also a part of the Netflix series “Love”. She’s been active in the industry since 2005, and all of her efforts have helped put her net worth to where it is today.
How rich is Gillian Jacobs? As of early-2018, sources estimate a net worth that is at $2.5 million, mostly earned through a successful career as an actress. She’s also appeared in numerous films over the course of her career, and has won several awards as well. As she continues her career, it is expected that her wealth will also continue to increase.
Gillian Jacobs Net Worth $2.5 million
Gillian grew up in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania, and her family owned the Erie Brewing Company until it was eventually closed by her grandfather. At a young age, she started to study acting and took weekend classes at Pittsburgh Playhouse. She performed at the Pittsburgh Public Theater which eventually led to her first stage production in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, playing the role of Titania. She attended Mt. Lebanon High School and matriculated in 2000, then moved to New York City to attend the Juilliard School, graduating in 2004.
Jacobs’ first screen role came in the television series “The Book of Daniel”. She also had a role in the pilot of “Traveler”, and would later make guest appearances in “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” as well as “Fringe”. In 2006, she appeared in a production of “Cagelove” for which she earned praise for her performance despite negative reviews of the play overall. She continued to do theatre work, increasing her net worth over the next year, appearing in “A Feminine Ending”, and “The Little Flower of East Orange”. In 2009, she joined the cast of the comedy series “Community”, in which she plays the role of a high school dropout aspiring to become a psychologist. She also had more film opportunities during this period, including in “The Box”, “Gardens of the Night” and “Bad Milo!”, adding steadily to her net worth.
In 2014, Jacobs continued to play her role in “Community” for its sixth season, meantime being cast by Netflix to star in the series “Love”. Other projects she had during this time include “Walk of Shame”, “Life Partners” and “Hot Tub Time Machine 2”. In 2015, she did a documentary short entitled “The Queen of Code”, which is about computer scientist Grace Hopper. She also starred in the film “Visions” alongside Jim Parsons and Isla Fisher, and branched out in voicing characters for “Monsters vs. Aliens”, “Regular Show”, and “Justice League Action”. All of these opportunities raised her net worth even further.
For her personal life, nothing is known about Gillian’s romantic relationships, if any. She’s mentioned in an interview that she is a teetotaler, which means she never does alcohol or drugs – her father is an addict according to her. One of her major influences was the novel on drug addiction entitled “Go Ask Alice”.

1 | I like the 'Moth' podcast a lot. I listen to that. |
2 | I'm not conservative, but I am kind of clean living in my own life. |
3 | I had some years of definite frustration. Auditioning and not working as much as I would have liked to, or working and being paid a pittance, and sort of scrounging by in New York and sleeping on a chair that folded out into a bed. |
4 | I'd never really done comedy before Community (2009), so getting to work, day in and day out, with all these great people, directors, writers, and actors, I feel like I've learned a lot. |
